Why Not Trust God Again?

"But I said to you, 'Don't be afraid! The Lord your God is going before
you. He will fight for you, just as you saw him do in Egypt. And you
saw how the Lord your God cared for you again and again here in the
wilderness, just as a father cares for his child. Now he has brought
you to this place." (Deuteronomy 1:29-31 NLT)

Have you ever experienced a situation where after you came out, you knew
that nobody but God could have brought you through? Maybe you bought a
house with no money saved or received a promotion that others were more
qualified for. Whatever the situation, when you got through it, all you
could say was "nobody but God...". With that being said, why is it that
we go through those miraculous experiences but then find ourselves in
situations where we lose faith in God. For some reason, we get
"spiritual amnesia" and forget about how God came through for us all the
other times. If God moved on your behalf last time, surely He will take
care of you in your current situation. If you are losing faith in your
current state, I pose the question, "Why not trust God again?" Our
faith is independent of any situation we may find ourselves in, because
we serve a God who is the same today, yesterday, and tomorrow. I pray
that you would build on the experiences God takes you through so you can
be strengthened and have unshakable faith. I know this time is
different and it presents new challenges, but why not trust God again?
I know this experience is new and others around you have frightened you
with their horror stories, but why not trust God again? I know this
time presents more responsibilities and unknown outcomes, but why not
trust God again? If He kept you before, and He's the same God, then
wouldn't He keep you again? The only thing that's changed is your
position. So I encourage you to stand in faith and trust God no matter
what comes your way. What you are experiencing did not catch God by
surprise. He has your best interests at heart, so why not trust God
again?
